Blackboard Faculty Training
What?
We are excited to provide Blackboard training opportunities for SMU faculty and staff. We have established a framework to offer ongoing one-hour info demos and two-hour workshops. The workshops are scheduled in three hour increments; first two hours include instructor-led, hands-on activities, and the last hour is optional. You can choose to stay and work on tasks specific to your needs. The info-demos are one-hour, short, single-objective web deliveries. Using WebEx, we will provide an overview of a specific Blackboard feature. For now, the info-demos are intended to be presentation only.
Where?
Workshops will be offered at one of the following locations:
Peralta Computer Lab - 850L
HEC 311 (must bring laptop and come prepared to connect to SMU's wireless network)
ABSMC Training Room (Provident)
WebEx presentations are on online and you can log on from any computer. Note: Sessions will open 15 minutes early for first time users to test connections. Once the presentation begins, technical assistance may not be available.
When? How?
Click the Register Online link to view the current schedule. Check back periodically for updates. Immediately after successfully registering for a section, you will receive a confirmation. A reminder will be sent as your training date approaches.
