To enroll a user in your course

  1. From the course, select the Control Panel link.
  2. Under User Management, select Enroll User.
    The Enroll User page appears
  3. In the Search text box, enter the last name of the person you want to add, and then click the Search button.
  4. From the list of users located, click the Add checkbox to select it, and then click the Submit button.

To provide instructor permission to a user enrolled in your course.

  1. From the course click the Control Panel link.
  2. Under User Management, select List/Modify Users.
    The List/Modify Users page appears.
  3. In the Search text box, enter the last name of the person you want to modify, and then click the Search button.
  4. From the list of users located, find the name of the person you are looking for and then click the Properties button.
    The Modify User Properties page appears.
  5. Scroll down to the end of the page, select the Instructor option (or another appropriate choice) and then click Submit.

Disable student access to your course.

  1. Enter the Control Panel of your course.
  2. Under User Management, select List/Modify Users
  3. In the search box, enter the student’s last name and then click the Search button.
    The student’s name should appear.
  4. Click the Properties button, and scroll down to the Availability option and select No.

To make your course available

  1. From the course click the Control Panel link.
  2. Under Course Options, select Settings.
    The Settings page appears.
  3. select Course Availability.
  4. Choose YES.
  5. Click the Submit button.

To self enroll in a course

  1. From the Courses tab in Blackboard, select the Browse Course Catalog link.
    The Browse Course Catalog page appears.
  2. In the Search box, type the name of the course “SAMPLE COURSE.”
  3. Click the Go button.
    A search results list appears.
  4. Find for the course you want to enroll in, click the Enroll button and then the Submit button.
    You will receive a
    Receipt: Success message.
  5. Click the OK button to continue.

To set your course for self-enrollment

  1. From the course click the Control Panel link.
  2. Under Course Options, select Settings.
    The Settings page appears.
  3. Select Enrollment Options.
  4. Select Self Enrollment, specify whether you want a specific date range and/or password protection.
  5. Click the Submit button.
