To enroll a user in your course
- From the course, select the Control Panel link.
- Under User Management, select Enroll User.
The Enroll User page appears - In the Search text box, enter the last name of the person you want to add, and then click the Search button.
- From the list of users located, click the Add checkbox to select it, and then click the Submit button.
To provide instructor permission to a user enrolled in your course.
- From the course click the Control Panel link.
- Under User Management, select List/Modify Users.
The List/Modify Users page appears. - In the Search text box, enter the last name of the person you want to modify, and then click the Search button.
- From the list of users located, find the name of the person you are looking for and then click the Properties button.
The Modify User Properties page appears. - Scroll down to the end of the page, select the Instructor option (or another appropriate choice) and then click Submit.
Disable student access to your course.
- Enter the Control Panel of your course.
- Under User Management, select List/Modify Users
- In the search box, enter the student’s last name and then click the Search button.
The student’s name should appear. - Click the Properties button, and scroll down to the Availability option and select No.
- From the course click the Control Panel link.
- Under Course Options, select Settings.
The Settings page appears. - select Course Availability.
- Choose YES.
- Click the Submit button.
- From the Courses tab in Blackboard, select the Browse Course Catalog link.
The Browse Course Catalog page appears. - In the Search box, type the name of the course “SAMPLE COURSE.”
- Click the Go button.
A search results list appears. - Find for the course you want to enroll in, click the Enroll button and then the Submit button.
You will receive a Receipt: Success message. - Click the OK button to continue.
To set your course for self-enrollment
- From the course click the Control Panel link.
- Under Course Options, select Settings.
The Settings page appears. - Select Enrollment Options.
- Select Self Enrollment, specify whether you want a specific date range and/or password protection.
- Click the Submit button.
