Letter from the Editor

The theme of eNEWS is Students with Impact.  The articles give examples of students making a real impact on the learning and teaching within Samuel Merritt University and outside in the community.

In this March issue, learn how one student dances through a personal challenge and how students from the San Mateo Learning Center (SMLC) credit simulation for making a 'miracle delivery.'

Find out why two Schweitzer Fellows created a healing commitment to two underserved communities, and how students from two disciplines used their language skills to make a difference in one Hayward community.  What is it about the DNP program that has faculty going online to register, or why this year's Picchi Lecture speaker is in Forbes Magazine Top Women in Business list.

As we continue to broaden our communications by showcasing innovative, academic programs, and the educational work we do inside and outside of the SMU community, ideas or suggestions for future eNews articles are welcome.

Thank you.
