Professor Gibson is a graduate of San Jose State University where she recieved both a BS and MS degree in Occupational Therapy. She has taught at SMU since 1997 and maintains a clinical practice at Children's Hosptal and Research Center of Oakland in the Hand Therapy Clinic. Professor Gibson became a certified hand therapist in 2001.
