I have been practicing physical therapy since 1979 in the areas of orthopedics, neurological rehab, acute care, and women's health. I started teaching at SMU in 1990, at the beginning of the physical therapy program.


Courses Taught at Samuel Merritt University:
Currently, I am teaching biomechanics, functional kinesiology, basic skills, case studies,and special populations (cancer, incontinence, bariatrics, osteoporosis, pregancy, diabetes, etc). I have also taught evaluation and treatment of orthopedics patients.

Research Interests:
My research interest is in the area of Women's Health (incontinence, pregnancy)and am currently conducting a study in incontinence). I am also performing research on teaching effectiveness.
