Configuring Windows Mobile Outlook to sync with email
- From the main screen, select Messaging (open envelope icon)
- Hit the down arrow and select New Email Account...
- Enter your email address (login@samuelmerritt.edu)
- Uncheck 'Try to get settings automatically from the Internet'
- Click Next (right soft key)
- Select your email provider (press the center button and arrow down to Exchange Server)
- Click Next (right soft key)
- Click Next (right soft key)
- Enter the server address webmail.samuelmerritt.edu
- There should be a check in the box 'This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection'. If not, arrow down and press the center button to place a check in the box.
- Click Next (right soft key)
- Enter your username (you just need to enter your login name only here)
- Enter your password (enter the password you use to login to webmail)
- Enter the domain (samuelmerritt.edu)
- There should be a check in the box 'Save Password'
- Click Next (right soft key)
- All of the boxes should be checked to synchronize
- Click Finish (left soft key)
Your phone will now attempt to sync. You will receive a Security Policy change notice. You must accept the security policy in order to sync with the exchange server. Press Accept.
The phone will take a few minutes to synchronize.
**IMPORTANT - be sure your phone is set to the correct date, time, and time zone
Click Start - Settings - Clock & Alarm to configure the clock settings
