Using Trend Officescan Client

Here's how to check for viruses and spyware using the Trend Officescan console…

1. On the systray (icons by the clock on your Start menu bar) locate the Trend Officescan utility and right-click on the icon
   
2. Click on Officescan Console
   
3. Click in the box next to Local Disk (C:) – A green check mark will appear in the box
   
4. Click the first Scan button to scan for viruses
   
5. Click on the second Scan button to check for spyware/grayware 
   

* NOTE - Grayware can encompass all of the following:

• Adware
• access tools
• dialers
• joke programs
• remote access tools
• Spyware
