Jeanette Wong received her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree from the University of San Francisco and her master' s in public administration/health services administration from the University of Southern California. Jeanette has extensive experience in healthcare administration and education.
In 2005 she started her career at Samuel Merritt University (SMU) with the School of Nursing as clinical coordinator for the Accelerated BSN Program. The opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with state-of-the-art technology and a team dedicated to teaching simulation-based education to students and faculty was worth a career move.
Since becoming operations manager, Jeanette has focused on developing and implementing processes and systems for all day-to-day operations. In addition, she collaborates with faculty from all professional programs at SMU as well as from the community to assist them in implementing simulation into their specific curricula. She contributes her knowledge and experience to the development and implementation of high-fidelity manikin-based simulation and is using her skills to assist in the development of a standardized patient program.
Jeanette has been a speaker at conferences addressing operational processes for a simulation center. She is a member of the Bay Area Simulation Collaborative Operating Committee and is vice chair for education and product improvement for the Educational Management Solutions User Group Network.
