Samuel Merritt University offers full-time faculty and exempt employees the ability to log-in to our network via Virtual Private Networking (VPN) from off campus. This allows you access to resources as if you were on campus.
If you are a qualified employee who has been issued a mobile computer by the SMU IT Department, you will be able to connect to the campus VPN through the use of 'Cisco Systems VPN Client' software installed on your computer.
For security reasons, our VPN home use program has been suspended. Qualified employees who do not have access to an SMU-assigned mobile computer may contact their department chairs, deans, directors if special access considerations are necessary.
