Description :
Position Summary:A Physical Therapist is responsible for direct patient care including: evaluation, treatment, plan of care development and scheduling. From time-to-time, the PT may be assigned to other work locations; e.g. employer contracts or prevention programs, etc. The PT will work closely with referring physicians as well as agencies involved in patient's rehabilitation programs. PT’s will also participate in Vector sponsored patient education programs. Qualifications:Education· A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.· Current licensure with the State of California Physical Therapy Licensing Board. Duties & Responsibilities:Therapy· Provide direct patient care and devise and maintain rehabilitation programs that will result in patients reaching their earliest maximum potential.· Communicate with referring physicians regarding patients and rehabilitation programs. Support· Maintain current medical records in accordance with rehabilitation policies.· Maintain all Vector Rehabilitation Agency safety and infection control regulations.Education Activities· Actively participate in continuing education through the study of current rehabilitation literature, and the attendance of continuing education classes and clinics.· Assist in the training of new clinical personnel.· Participate in community health and safety education programs. · Assist with educational programs to the professional community to increase their awareness of Vector's rehabilitation programs and mission.Personnel Activities· Assist in the supervision of clinical staff & volunteers as delegated by the Director of Therapy.· Participate in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) by following the General Safety Rules for the therapist position, and by actively making constructive suggestions for safety in the workplace.· The execution of all other necessary duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Therapy.
