Assist the Assistant Director with administrative tasks such as, but not limited to:
• Filing
• Facilitating campus tours
• Event planning and coordination for prospective students
• Data research via Power Campus
• Internet based research for special projects
• Follow-up for off campus events: library information sessions, BSN Student panels,
Wellness Fair participants, calling other community organizations, counselor SIM center visitation day
• On campus room reservations/scheduling
• Schedule planning for summer groups including coordinating SIM Center and Anatomy Lab visits
• When able, attending ASP/SISP meetings to take minutes and relay information back to group via email.
• Pulling materials needed for tabling at events
• Tabling at events with admission staff when able

Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts and speak effectively with co-workers, the public, and student populations
• Computer skills: experience using Microsoft Office Word and Excel, working knowledge of basic Windows applications
• Ability to successfully work independently, and read and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work as a team and instruct new work study students in office set up
• Ability to handle privileged information in a confidential manner
• Basic mathematical skills
Physical Effort Required:
• Primarily sedentary deskwork with occasional trips to other departments within the University
• Physical ability to lift, bend and flex the upper body
• Hand and finger dexterity for computer, calculator, copy machine and telephone use
• Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word in person or on the telephone
• Ability to receive detailed information through verbal and written communication
• Ability to read and write documents
• Occasional lifting up to 30-40 pounds
• Ability to push and pull carts
