The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education recently completed its comprehensive review of the the Department of Physical Therapy at Samuel Merritt College. The Commission reaffirmed accreditation of the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program at Samuel Merritt College. In their letter reaffirming accreditation, the Commissioners noted, "The program is meeting its mission as evidenced by consistently high performance ratings provided by graduates, clinical instructors, and employers that attest to the graduates' preparation as skilled, innovative and compassionate physical therapists." The Commission granted a 10 year accreditation to the Samuel Merritt DPT Program, the longest period possible, and thus conferring accreditation through December 31, 2017.
