Medical Aesthetic Training Program

Samuel Merritt College School of Nursing is pleased to co-sponsor a Medical Aesthetic Training Program for Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants the weekend of May 3rd and 4th in the Health Education Center. Enrollment is limited to the first 14 registrants.

Program Objectives

1. Describe the risks and benefits of light-based therapies.

2. Identify clinical regulatory guidelines and aesthetic business trends.

3. Describe the fundamentals of laser and light physics.

4. Identify appropriate candidates for light-based options.

5. Demonstrate safe utilization of laser and light devices.

6. Describe key elements of risk management.

7. Identify proper remedies for untoward effects.
