On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, Valerie Landau, Samuel Merritt University's Director of Assessment, will be presenting a webinar, "Neurons that Fire Together, Wire Together" for part of the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Webinar Series presented by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
In June of this year, the School of Nursing and Samuel Merritt University received a QSEN award at a regional meeting held at the Moore Foundation Headquarters in San Jose.
The webinar explains how faculty at Samuel Merritt University looked at and "listened" to data. It explores how faculty used a color-coded mapping system, visual imagery, and a musical score to assess the adoption of QSEN competencies in their curriculum, to evaluate student learning. It will also address how outcomes data was transformed so that faculty could easily understand the data.
The webinar takes place 2-3pm (ET) (11am CA time) To register: http://www.aacn.nche.edu/webinars/2013/11/06/qsen-part-1
