Dr. Shahan Vartivarian Remembered

Dr. Shahan Vartivarian, a beloved student, mentor, and colleague at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University passed away March 15, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer, his family said. He was 31.

Shahan’s brother, Dr. Mher Vartivarian, said his brother will be remembered for his passionate life, kindness, and a dedication to the study of podiatry. “Even after he got diagnosed, the first thing he wanted to do was keep on teaching,” Mher said. “He had a lot of other opportunities, but it was important to him to share his knowledge with others. He was always in a mentoring mentality.”
