Physician Assistant Program Holds White Coat Ceremony

The Master of Physician Assistant program conducted its Class of 2014 White Coat Ceremony on Saturday, January 11, 2014. The White Coat Ceremony signifies the transition from a basic science oriented, classroom setting to the clinical arena of patient-centered learning.

Dr. Michael DeRosa, Chair of the Physician Assistant department, gave the opening remarks. Assistant Professor Lauri Paolinetti was the faculty speaker, and Assistant Professor Lorraine Petti gave closing remarks and conducted the oath.

Student Matthew Case won the Academic Achievement award and student Bonnie Joy (pictured) won the Service award.

The reception took place in the Bechtel Room, on the Oakland campus.
