The Physical Therapy Department at Samuel Merritt College will be offering a free outpatient neurological rehabilitation clinic for East Bay residents with neuromuscular diseases or conditions.
The clinic will be held on six consecutive Mondays from 1-4 pm from March 3 to April 7, 2008 with 45 minute appointments for clients. Samuel Merritt College clinic facilities are at 450 30th Street in Oakland.
Sessions will include a thorough evaluation, individualized treatment plans, and home exercise instruction. Clients will be selected to participate based on their medical diagnosis and physician referral. Treatment sessions will be conducted by second year Doctor of Physical Therapy students under the supervision of physical therapy faculty members.

The purpose of the clinic is to offer a community service to individuals and to further develop the clinical abilities of the students providing care.
