Admission Policies
- A maximum of 18 units of coursework can be recognized by the college as advanced standing credit.
- The college reserves the right to determine if the coursework taken in pursuit of initial certification is of sufficient scope, depth and rigor to award advanced standing credit equivalent to 18 units.
- The college reserves the right to determine whether or not any particular certification agency the applicant submits as evidence of initial certification is appropriately recognized.
If a student has already taken one or more of the six prescribed classes, electives may be used to fill remaining requirements.
Clinical Experience
There is no clinical component in this curriculum. The rationale for this decision is that students already hold national certification that designates clinical competency. This is met in that all successful applicants provide documentation by letter from an employer or contractor to verify at least 4,000 hours of clinical practice in their specialty within the last five years.
