The Occupational Therapy Department at Samuel Merritt University provides a free pediatric clinic to children between the ages of 6 months and 16 years. Clients receive services from students in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program, whose work is supervised by licensed occupational therapists.
Occupational therapists work with children who have difficulty engaging in the typical activities of childhood due to medical conditions, developmental challenges, or injury. An occupational therapist helps children develop skills to enhance their participation in self-care, play and school activities.
2016 Clinic Schedule:
The 2016 clinic will take place on Mondays, begining October 3, 2016. Children will be scheduled for a 50-minute therapy session each week. Sessions will start at 1:30, 2:30 or 3:30 pm.
