The Occupational Therapy Department at Samuel Merritt University provides a free pediatric clinic to children between the ages of 6 months and 16 years. Clients receive services from students in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program, whose work is supervised by licensed occupational therapists.
Occupational therapists work with children who have difficulty engaging in the typical activities of childhood due to medical conditions, developmental challenges, or injury. An occupational therapist helps children develop skills to enhance their participation in self-care, play and school activities.
2015 Clinic Schedule:
The 2015 clinic will take place on Mondays, begining September 28th. Children will be scheduled for a 50-minute therapy session each week. Sessions will start at 1:30, 2:30 or 3:30 pm.
PLEASE NOTE: As part of the enrollment process, you and your child will be asked to attend an appointment with Domenique Embrey or Ginny Gibson. This appointment will be scheduled after you have submitted the required forms. Enrollment will be determined after the interview.
