Why CSPM
I chose CSPM for its small class sizes and location. I appreciate that the professors have an open door policy, and each professor and clinician gets to know you well. I also appreciate the early clinical experience since I feel it helps break up time spent in the classroom. There are also many different types of clinical settings offered for students to rotate through, as well as many activities to volunteer for.
Any advice for prospective students
Know your anatomy and be ready to work hard! The harder you work the better doctor you will be. Work on your weaknesses, excel in your strengths, and always strive to learn something new everyday. Help out your fellow classmates whenever you can, and partake in activities you can truly be passionate about.
Extracurricular activities outside the classroom
Running, kickboxing, cycling, and crocheting
In 10 years I see myself
Hopefully a successful and happy podiatrist with a family. I would ideally like a private practice with a balance of biomechanics, sports medicine, diabetic wound care and trauma. I also would like to eventually teach, whether it be at CSPM or another school of podiatric medicine, or within a clinical setting.
Favorite thing about the Bay Area
Lots of wonderful food and activities! Never a dull moment.
