A new super food drink called Drink Chia was developed right here in Central Florida. It is the first drink of its kind. It delivers flavor and health benefits without the extra sugar. Chandra Davis was training for a marathon and was having trouble finding a beverage that would not only improve her staminia, but also help her recover quickly.

Davis discovered that the ancient Aztecs called chia seeds the "running seed." The tiny seeds are packed full of omega-3 fatty acids and can absorb up to 27 times their weight when soaked in water. That benefit will help keep you hydrated longer. Davis developed a drink using the seeds with the help of her brother Dr. Gideon J. Lewis. Lewis says there is no other product on the market that offers as much omega-3, with only 4 grams of sugar.

Gideon Lewis,  DPM, graduated from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in 2004.
