Software Requirements
In addition to the computer operating system software, the following software is required a word processor, web browser, and audio/video player.

Word processor - The College standard is Microsoft Office, which has Word as its word processor. Word 2000 or later is needed for compatibility with faculty and other students and for all needed features. We recommend the following components of the Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Web browser. Either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher is acceptable. Note: Versions available through America Online may not be fully compatible with other programs or websites. If you experience any difficulties, download a separate version of the browser.
Antivirus software. McAfee or Norton is recommended.
Additional programs are needed to enable viewing and sharing of files (often called plug-ins).
