Commencement 2008 is on May 23 at The Paramount Theatre in Oakland
Samuel Merritt College's 2008 Commencement ceremonies will take place on Friday, May 23 at The Paramount Theatre in Oakland. A 10:00 AM ceremony will be held for Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program graduates. A 2:00 PM ceremony will be held for graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN and 2+2 programs), Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Occupational Therapy, and Master Physician Assistant programs. Rehearsals will be held on Thursday, May 22 at The Paramount. (Rehearsal for students participating in the Doctoral Commencement
ceremony will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, May 22 and rehearsal
for participants in the Bachelors and Masters Commencement ceremony
will be held at 10:30 AM on that day.)
Samuel Merritt College is pleased to announce that Dr. Ross Taubman, President, American Podiatric Medical Association (and an alumni of the California College of Podiatric Medicine), will deliver the Commencement address at the Doctoral Commencement ceremony.
We are equally delighted that Dr. Anthony Iton, Director and Health Officer, Alameda County Public Health Department, will give the Commencement address at the Bachelors/Masters Commencement ceremony.
