Student Scholarships
Over 90 percent of all students at SMC receive some form of financial aid. With education costs on the rise, it is imperative that we continue to raise scholarship funds to attract the best and the brightest students in all programs within the college. Currently, many SMC students graduate with student loans in excess of $80,000. These same students are committed to their future roles as health care professionals and are prepared to make significant personal sacrifices in order to complete their degrees. Your scholarship gift enables SMC students to focus more on their education with less concern about amassing debt. Named scholarship funds are available with gifts of $25,000 or more.
Facility and Equipment Upgrades
Over the next five years, SMC must build a new microbiology/histology laboratory as well as substantially renovate the occupational therapy and physical therapy laboratories which are now nearly 15 years old. Phase II of the Health Sciences Simulation Center is planned to further development of this technology and support more effective, efficient teaching and learning methods.
