This workshop will describe the range of terms and identities associated with transgender communities, as well as the varied socioeconomic, health, and legal issues that transgender people face. We will learn culturally appropriate language and behavior for working with transgender populations, and develop culturally appropriate medical service approaches for working with transgender individuals and their families.
