Students can request writing consultations through one-to-one and small group meetings, and sessions can focus on any stage of the writing process. Writing manuals and personal guidance are available on expository composition and resume development, as well as AMA and APA citation formats used in Samuel Merritt University writing assignments. Staff can also assist students and alumnae with resume and professional materials development.
Bill Whyte has joined Enrollment and Student Services as a temporary employee, working with students on their classroom writing and resume writing. He has had over 40 years’ experience in business with most of his assignments in Human Relations. In addition, Bill is a member of the very prestigious organization, 100 Black Men of the Bay Area. He recently helped launch the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Community School here in Oakland (http://www.the100schools.com) which was featured in a PBS production segment on education.
