Adobe® Acrobat® Reader is free, and freely distributable, software that lets you view and print Portable Document Format (.pdf) files.


Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.

Microsoft® Viewers are needed by any computer user wanting to view a file created by one of the MS Office® Suite products, but do not have the application. Microsft converters allow a user to convert one file format to another. Visit the Microsoft website to find the most recent viewer and converter:

Pdf995 Printer Driver
Pdf995 is a free converter. It will convert your files to pdf format. Once installed you select it from your print window. It is compatible with Adobe Acrobat v9.0, Adobe Reader v9.0 and previous versions. Other versions of the tool are available at an affordable price.

Winzip allows you to create Zip files on Windows machines. You might find it useful when uploading package files or downloading bulk student assignments. Note: Winzip is built in to Windows XP, so if you have XP, you don't need Winzip.
