Having been a labor and delivery nurse since 1998, I have a love for the care of childbearing families.  I am excited to be able to share this passion with the students at Samuel Merritt UniversityAs Simulation Champion for the San Francisco Peninsula Campus, I am responsible for ensuring all ABSN students on our campus experience high-quality learning in a simulated environment. I also enjoy participating in the IGNITE program, an interprofessional simulation and problem-based learning program with students from UCSF/UC Berkeley's Joint Medical Program, John F. Kennedy University's PsyD program, and students from Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Podiatry at Samuel Merritt University.

I am committed to ensuring exceptional learning experiences, and I believe that learning can only occur when students feel accepted, valued, secure, and respected.

As a member of the Japan Collaborative, I have assisted with hosting students from our sister university, Seirei Christopher University in Hamamatsu, Japan since 2015.  I have traveled with students to Seirei Christopher University in 2015 and 2016 with students to learn about the Japanese healthcare system and Japanese culture.
