Sharon Demeter
MA, MS, CNM

Sharon was born in raised in Canada where she received her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. She practiced for a decade, largely with underserved populations, before "having a calling" to become a midwife. She received her nursing and midwifery training at UCSF, then practiced full-scope midwifery in the Kaiser, Mercy and Sutter systems. She transitioned to full-time teaching in 2013.

Research Biography

My primary research interests are perinatal mood disorders and the applications of EMDR for treatment of trauma.
