President Ching-Hua Wang Inauguration Ceremony & Reception

Ching-Hua Wang, MD, PhD, inaugurated as the second president in Samuel Merritt University’s 111-year history and the first female native Chinese university president in the U.S. 

The University community will celebrate with a week of events, culminating with the inauguration ceremony and reception.

Wang came to SMU in November 2018. Prior to that, she served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State University, Sacramento.
