Please join Samuel Merritt University’s Ethnic Health Institute for the 2019 Symposium for Healthcare Professionals. Now in its 14th year, this free event will focus on community health and wellness. The day will include speakers, community resources, and networking opportunities. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Breakout session topics:

  • The legalization and impact of cannabis on community health
  • Best practices for serving immigrant communities in an anti-immigrant climate
  • Community response to youth street violence and tools for healthcare providers

The Bay Area Black Nurses Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) as Continuing Education Provider #9053. This program is approved for 5.0 continuing education contact hours. Individuals licensed by entities other than the BRN are advised to check with their own licensing board to determine if and how these units can be counted toward license renewal.
