Accessing Sutter Web Resources

Occasionally students and staff will encounter issues when accessing Sutter web resources and the mySutter intranet. The recommended method is to use our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service. For instructions on accessing VDI, view the mySMU VDI QuickStart Guide.

In VDI, you will be able to use the internet browser to access the Sutter web resources and the mySutter intranet. If you encounter issues, these can often be solved by using your browser in "incognito" or "private" mode. View the instructions below on using your browser's private mode by selecting your browser software.

  1. To the right of the address bar, look for the menu icon (three dots)
  2. Click the menu to open additional browser options
  3. In the dropdown, select "New incognito window"

  3. In the dropdown, select "New Private Window"

  1. In the menu bar for Safari at the top of your screen, click "File"
  2. Select "New Private Window" from the dropdown

  3. Select "New InPrivate window" from the dropdown

  2. Click the icon to open additional browser options
  3. Navigate and hover your cursor over "Safety" in the dropdown to expand an additional menu
  4. Select "InPrivate Browsing" from the submenu
