About Me

My career in Physical Therapy has been dedicated to the care of children and support of families.  Teaching at Samuel Merritt allows me the privilege to share both the joy I personally experience in the field of Pediatric Physical Therapy and the fascination and complexity of the developing child.

Currently I am the Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation at Kaiser Permanente where we provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation care. This position has allowed me to grow in my skills as a leader as well as to learn more about all the rehabilitative services that we can support and provide for children with developmental disabilities.

I share my journey in Physical Therapy with my husband of 35 years who I met in Physical Therapy school.  We have two daughters who brighten every day and who both guide and remind me why working with families and supporting children is wonderful and very important work.

I attended University of Washington for a degree in Kinesiology.  I attended Northwestern university for a degree in Physical Therapy. Most recently I completed  a terminal degree in Physical Therapy at University of the Incarnate Word.
