Dr. Wong is not currently teaching as she is focused on administrative duties and development of new academic programs for the College of Health Sciences.

About Me

Dr. Wong is the Founding Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Samuel Merritt University. She is a well-recognized advocate and researcher for minority and low-income breast cancer survivors, especially the Asian immigrant population.

Education

Dr. Wong received her BA, MSW, MPH, and PhD all from UC Berkeley.

Teaching Interests

Research methods, clinical skills in social work practice, health disparities.

Scholarly Interests

Dr. Wong's research interest is on cancer survivorship and quality of life issues confronting Chinese immigrant breast cancer survivors. She published and presented numerous papers at national and international conferences relating to breast cancer and psychosocial issues.
