About Me

I am a practicing community health nurse, ministry leader, and health education professional with over 3 decades of experience.  In addition to my tenure with Samuel Merritt University, Oakland, Ca. as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for Community Health, I have served as an adjunct professor, education consultant, and master trainer for the University of California, San Francisco,  Ohlone College, Fremont, CA., Canada College, Redwood City, CA., and the Westberg Institute, Memphis, Tn. 
I have participated in community-based research projects conducted by University of San Francisco Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center and the University of California, Berkeley & Kaiser Permanente, Division of Research, Oakland aimed at addressing the cancer burden in low-income women at risk for breast cancer.
