Every year we welcome some 10,000 learners to the Health Sciences Simulation Center. They come from every academic program at Samuel Merritt University (SMU) and from a growing number of community partners. Together they account for more than 2,600 hours of utilization, which translates to more than 300 eight-hour days per year of activity. These hours reflect the use of:
- high-fidelity manikin-based simulation
- clinical skills training
- health assessment
- standardized patients
Our success is possible because of the support we receive from the SMU administration and because of the dedication of our HSSC faculty and staff members, who are committed to simulation-based learning.
