Voting hours are generally 7:00 am to 8:00 pm affording employees ample time to vote before or after working hours at any general, direct, primary or Presidential primary elections.
An employee who does not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote in an election may take time off from work to vote. The employee will be allowed a maximum of two hours on Election Day without loss of pay. This time should be taken at the beginning or end of the regular work schedule, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by the employee and his/her supervisor. The employee is required to give the supervisor notice of at least two working days if time off is needed for voting. If time off is arranged, the employee is requested to bring back proof of voting.
