Job Summary:
Adjunct Faculty will teach 1/3 of OT631/731 Occupational Adaptation & Introduction to Modalities from mid-March through mid-April (the last 1/3 of the class).
Responsible for covering the following course content:
- Assistive Technology & Low Technology
- Control Interfaces & Computer Access
- Computer Workstations
- Telephone Communication
- Computer Access
- Computer Workstations
- Telephone Communication
- Computer Access
- Seating & Mobility
Interested applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree, have a California occupational therapy license and demonstrate practice expertise in the content area they are teaching. No prior teaching is required.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
An Asterisk (*) denotes an essential job function for ADA purposes.
45% *Teaching content appropriate to the course or assisting in leading lab.
30% *Grading of client documentation by the students.
10% *Small group meetings and individual student meetings as needed (face to face labs only as deemed critical during covid).
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise and skills in the course content area.
Education and/or Experience:
- Licensed Occupational therapist with demonstrated practice expertise in the course content for the class. No prior teaching is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist with and monitor student evaluations of adult clients and treatments for the clinical course.
