DPT Alumni Present at California Physical Therapy Association Annual Conference

The PT Department at Samuel Merritt University is proud to have 3 alumni who presented posters at the CPTA Annual Conference. Dr. Sarah Tuomainen ('14), Dr. Abby Linford ('14), and Dr. Jaclyn Fridolfsson ('13) had their case reports peer reviewed before being accepted to present at the only state-wide physical therapy conference in California. Congratulations on your achievments!

DPT Alum Discusses 'Why I Chose Physical Therapy'

Dr. Wendy Marrufo (SMU '14) was interviewed by the American Physical Therapy Association to help created a video exploring 'Why I Chose Physical Therapy' for prospective physical therapy students. Department of PT Provides FREE Balance Testing for Persons with Multiple Sclerosis

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation awarded the Department of Physical Therapy at SMU $20,000 to provide FREE specialized balance testing to persons with Multiple Scerlosis (MS) in the Greater East Bay. Call (510) 869-6511 ext 4411 to schedule a test! Using the EquiTest®, participants will get a full computerized dynamic posturography suite of tests and consultation with a physical therapist.
