Cecily Cosby, PhD, FNP-C, PA-C, former director of the family nurse practitioner program, was named the Paul C. Samson Clinical Faculty Chair in Nursing for 2007-2010 for excellence in teaching and community service. Cosby, who served as Faculty Organization president from 2004-2006, has been nominated for the Stroman-Dillashaw Award for her contributions to the college. The well-known and respected researcher in forensic nursing and HIV also received the Sigma Theta Tau Research Award for the Nu Xi Chapter at Large in 2003.
