Admission Events

Welcome to the event page for the Office of Admission.  I hope you will check back to this page frequently for Information Sessions and other events for prospective students.  Some of our events ask for a RSVP and others are open attendance.  Most of the events will be held on the main campus in Oakland, but we do host events on our Sacramento and San Mateo campuses as well.

Please join us for a DPT Information Session. 

This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the DPT program at Samuel Merritt University.  Faculty will present an overview and Admission and Financial Aid staff will be present to answer your questions. For further information please click here.

ABSN Information Sessions - Oakland

Please join us for an ABSN Information Session.  While these events are on the Oakland campus, prerequisite and financial aid information is common to all campuses that offer the ABSN.  So please join us whether you are interested in applying to the campus locations in Sacramento, Oakland or San Mateo.  Because of limited time there will not be the opportunity to ask individual, specific questions, but at the conclusion of the Information Session you can make an individual counseling appointment for a future date where those questions can be answered and transcripts can be reviewed for prerequisites, so be sure to bring a calendar devise with you.

Payment for parking is by check or cash only.  There is no ATM convenient to the event, so please plan ahead.

ABSN INFORMATION SESSIONS – San Francisco Peninsula Learning Center, San Mateo

Please join us for an ABSN Information Session at our San Francisco Peninsula Learning Center in San Mateo.  While these events are on the being hosted at our San Francisco Peninsula Learning Center, prerequisite and financial aid information is common to all campuses that offer the ABSN.  So please join us whether you are interested in applying to the campus locations in Sacramento, Oakland or San Mateo.  Because of limited time there will not be the opportunity to ask individual, specific questions, but you are encouraged to make an individual counseling appointment for a future date where those questions can be answered and transcripts can be reviewed for prerequisites.

ABSN and ELMSN Information Sessions - Sacramento

We will go over the ABSN and ELMSN prerequisites, admission requirements and application process. Attendees are welcome to leave copies of unofficial transcripts with an admission counselor to review. Transcript evaluations will be emailed in 5-7 business days.

All Information Sessions will be held from 12-2 p.m.  We will present information about the ABSN and ELMSN programs from 12-1pm and will then be available from 1-2pm to answer individual questions.
