The Sutter Health & Samuel Merritt University Health Equity Nursing Fellowship

Fellows Will...

• Receive mentorship and training from researchers and clinicians at the Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity.

• Be placed at a site and participate in groundbreaking scholarship instituting a DNP Quality Improvement Project that can be directly applied in clinical settings to change and improve healthcare outcomes.

• Be compensated at an hourly rate of $20/hour, in addition to a $5,000 scholarship towards Samuel Merritt University tuition. The time commitment for the fellowship is a maximum of 15 hours per week for one year.

Application Details: What You Will Need to Apply 

Applications for the DNP Full-Time Post-Master's Fellowship should be submitted upon entry into the program. For DNP FNP and DNP Post-Master's part-time students, applications should be submitted during the semester prior to or week 1 of the first DNP Project course (NURS 772). Please note: This fellowship is not applicable if you already have a designated DNP project site.

To be considered for selection as the 2025-2026 Fellow:

• Applications must be submitted by May 31.

• Finalists will be invited for a virtual interview.
