About Me
I am an experienced nurse practitioner, educator, and presenter with a lifelong commitment to advancing health equity and expanding access to care for diverse and medically vulnerable populations. I have developed clinical expertise spanning primary and integrated behavioral health care, sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and treatment, gastroenterology, including cirrhosis and viral hepatitis management. I have provided care in a wide range of settings, from street medicine outreach teams, federally qualified health centers to larger health systems, county public health systems, care management, and academic faculty practice. I have developed and led innovative care models for patients experiencing homelessness, older adults in federally qualified health centers, and communities disproportionately affected by infectious diseases. I am also a certified HIV specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine and recently completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice at Samuel Merritt University.
In addition to clinical work, I am dedicated to education and mentorship, serving as faculty in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Samuel Merritt University. I have designed and delivered curriculum focused on caring for vulnerable populations and has presented at regional summits and provider trainings, including keynote presentations on PrEP, nPEP, rapid-start ART, and HIV care.
Utilizing a collaborative approach and passion for mentorship, I have a commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare providers to meet the needs of diverse communities.
