About Me

I am a doctor of nursing practice with concentration in public health leadership,  master of science in nursing, board certified adult nurse practitioner, and board certified occupational health nurse specialist, with practice experience focused in both individual and population based health. My clinical practice experience  has focused in the areas of occupational and environmental health, college health. adult urgent and primary care and unhoused populations.
I have been teaching for over 25 years at various educational institutions in the east and west coast, teaching doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate medical and nursing students in both traditional and online settings.
I actively participate in professional organizations and have served on numerous state and national boards of directors. I enjoy my position on the editorial review board for the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) Journal, Workplace Health & Safety, which I have served on for over 20 years. I hold the position of national speaker on diverse topics within occupational health and wellness , and  I've also contributed publications to this field.
Outside of my professional life, I find pleasure in traveling internationally,  experiencing live jazz performances, volunteering, and cherishing moments with my three young grandchildren.
