Clinical practice area
My clinical background and experience is psychiatric mental health nursing. I also have expertise in community and public health nursing. My clinical experience has included caring for adults and geriatric patients with mental health disorders and vulnerable populations.
Community involvement
I am the Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. I engage in community outreach across the San Francisco Bay Area to secure clinical sites for our students.

Selected scholarly highlights
My research has been focused on management and prevention of workplace violence, management and prevention of substance use disorders, and mental health care in vulnerable populations. I have published my scholarly work in peer-reviewed nursing journals. I've presented my research in national and international nursing conferences.
