Students in clinic

Centers and Libraries

We’re on a mission to fundamentally improve healthcare through better systems and evidenced based care.

Always learning, always advancing

SMU provides an education that's rooted in best practices, interprofessional collaboration, research, and learning by doing. Our centers and institutes are central hubs for this work. They include the Health Sciences Simulation Center (HSSC), Motion Analysis Research Center (MARC), Ethnic Health Institute (EHI), the center for Academic and Instructional Innovation (A&II), and the Center for Innovation and Excellence in Learning (CIEL).

SMU Libraries supports students and faculty by providing access to evidence-based research, case studies, exam review guides, and intercampus and interlibrary loan materials—helping future and current health sciences professionals build their practices and bedside treatment knowledge.
