About Me

Anna Lai was born and raised in Walnut Creek, CA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Dominican University of California, San Rafael, CA. She then worked in both NICU and PICU at the bedside before attending Samuel Merritt University and earning her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia. Anna Lai completed her DNP from the Touro University of Nevada, interested in post-dural puncture treatment and protocols. Anna Lai co-taught Basic Principles of Anesthesia in 2018 and is excited to return to teaching. Anna Lai was involved with the California Association of Nurse Anesthetists as the Chair of the CANA Wellness Committee from 2019-2022 and remained a State Peer Advisor. Anna Lai maintains her clinical practice at Kaiser East Bay at the Oakland and Richmond campuses.

Hobbies In her increasingly limited spare time, she enjoys skiing, playing tennis, baking, and spending time with her husband and rescue dog
