About Me

I have actively served as a Registered Nurse in OB and Medical Surgical for 22 years.  I have served as a Nurse Educator to ADN, BSN and MSN students for 18 years.  Additionally, I have served as a Federal Disaster Responder for DHHS/NDMS for 18 years responding as Team Commander of the National Nurse Response Team and as an Information Management Section Chief on a level 3 Incident Management Team.
My passion is to serve, educate, inspire and motivate our future nurses here at Samuel Merritt University and to serve as an experienced disaster responder protecting and securing the health and welfare of our nation.  As a living example, I find great joy in service to our students and our country.
