About Me

Betsy's experiences living internationally in developing countries led to her decision to become a nurse and have contributed to her interest in global health, wilderness & disaster medicine, and pediatrics. She has worked in emergency departments at Level I and II Trauma Centers and spent the last three years working in a pediatric emergency department. Betsy is a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse and is currently completing a fellowship in wilderness medicine. Her favorite things to do outside of work are backpacking, photography, and traveling internationally with her husband.
