About Me

My love for occupational therapy began in high school with a chance encounter reading about it in a book. This led me to pursue a high school internship with OTs. That internship increased my love for OT and motivated me to be the first person in my family to graduate from college. I have now been an occupational therapist since 1989 and have been teaching at SMU since 2021. I am board certified in pediatrics by AOTA and a RESNA certified assistive technology professional.
